We’re passing through a difficult situation due to COVID-19 pandemic, everybody is suffering in different ways like business owners losing their business, someone losing job but the main thing is we’re struggling to survive.
I was also affected by the pandemic; I was contaminated by the COVID-19 by the end of 2nd week of March 2021 after 2 weeks home isolation and then one week rest I recover from the corona virus. After that I start again to talk with different shopkeepers in my city Mymensingh.
I’m dedicated to support small businesses around me, so I always trying to buying necessary products from small shops and update them on Google maps by adding the missing POI or editing incorrect information if any so others can find their location and can get correct information easily using Google Maps. It will help both of them the shopkeepers and the customers; the shopkeeper can raise their sale and the customer can easily get his/her necessary products/items.
However, since last November 2020 I have talked with many business owners about Google Maps and shown them how to add their business on Google Maps, how to edit business information using their smart phone. I also suggest many of the business owners about to claim their business on Google Maps and they can easily update any information on Google Maps and can manage their business with Google My Business and run their business smoothly.
I talked with Mr. Polash, he is the owner of the Polash Motors. He is selling parts and accessories of Auto Cars and also accessories for different vehicles. He was talking about COVID-19 pandemic how it was affected his to business. Because of lockdown his business was closed most of the time, so he is losing customer and it impacting with the financial condition.
Another Business owner Mr. Tuhin and he is the owner of the Tuhin Enterprise. Mostly he is selling stationary products like Pen, Pencil, Exercise Books, Books for kids, Ruler Scale and many other items; and also Printing and Photocopy service available in his shop. He is also passing a very bad situation due to the pandemic as all school and colleges are closed now.
He is also interested about the Local Guide Program and shown him how to contribute on Google Maps.
