Hi everyone!
What can I say about being a Google local guide? Everything started a few years ago now, after visiting some restaurants and thinking: oh, wait, what if I tell others how my experience was? I started just with a small review about one of my favourite pubs and after posting some more, I realised my reviews were actually being read and even more to that, they were being useful! How great that was!
I am naturally a very social person, I love talking to people in real life and I guess this comes across on social media too. I simply love sharing information with others, so everyone gets what a place is like and what to expect from it. One of the last places I reviewed about and contributed on Google Maps was our last trip in December to Marrakesh. It was the first African country we were visiting and had seen so many impressive photos, we really wanted to make the most of our trip. Both me and my girlfriend were relying on Google Maps reviews to decide which places were we going to first, there were so many attractive options we really had to make a choice.
We enjoyed so many unique experiences: went to the Sahara desert and slept over the most beautiful sky full of stars, tried some of the best local restaurants and watched lovely sunsets from the main square in town. We would definitely recommend this trip to anyone feeling like a bit of an adventure, and if it wasn’t for platforms such as Google Maps, the information wouldn’t be so easily accessible. I feel reviews can help inspire people and that’s honestly what I intend to do when posting a rewiew here. Share experiences. Inspire. Dream!
