Google Maps has provided a wonderful feature in which we can compile together famous places under a particular category and then later can share with others. This is really helpful for LGs like me.
I have prepared a list of Famous Temples in India, though I have visited some of them. I’m sharing this list here for all those who are planning their trips to visit any of those temples. You can consider visiting other too !!!
I would like my fellow LGs @vijayparadkar , @ShekharMuz_5 , @Kousalya and @Shrut19 to add more famous temples of India, if I have missed any. You can also add pictures of your recent visit to any of the temple.

Thanks for your participation here. I’ve never heard about this temple. Could you tell more about it that to which deity it is dedicated to? I’ve been to only Kapaleeshwarar and Parthasarathy temples in Chennai.
This Temple is a very ancient one near High court. The main deity here is Maa Kali. This is a very old Temple. Our Maratha King Chatrapati Shivaji has visited this Temple. Presently the Temple has been renovated. One of the famous Temples of Chennai.
