Travel is part of education. As knowledge changes so do people and places. changes are visible at the bus terminals, train stations, sea port or airports as soon as you get to a place.
It’s barely 2 years from my previous visit to Enugu state, one of the Eastern states in Nigeria. As soon as we alight from the bus, i had my laptop bag on my shoulders the way i normally carry my laptop bag on a normal day. I then proceed to ask drivers and conductors how to get the connecting bus to my destination. The drivers, conductors, ticketing staff all gave the same advice before answering my question. “Carry your bag in the front”, they all said. Igot the message, beware of thieves and bag snatchers. That vital information saved me from any form of stress or incident as i was quick to implement the advice.
once you get to a place listen to what the locals are saying, it will save you a lot of stress and trouble. You can never know a place better than its natives.
