Perks are available and it will vary from time to time and from region to region. It depends on who the Google partners are. We are always working in finding new perks and promotions that can be interesting for the community. There may also be special and/or early access to Google features. You can read more about it on the official support page Get Recognized.
Keep in mind, Local Guides is a voluntary program and many people participate in it because they want to be able to help others via the Google Maps platform. You can read more - “Why be a Local Guide?”
Idea Exchange is a place on Connect for Local Guides to share their feedback and ideas with our team to tell us about a way to improve the Local Guides program.
