You don’t do everything with a purpose. More often it just happens.My involvement with Google Local Guides was one such event.The more I got involved the more useful it appeared and the constant prodding and encouragement made a 50 year old revisit his child hood days of being praised in classroom.
I suppose irrespective of the area of your interest a local guide helps the community by encouraging truth and facts over its opposites thereby countering fake news, false advertisements, greed.
I don’t have any special area of interest but report on things which falls in daily routine such as visit to markets,spas,hotels, picnic spots, abandoned lonely beautiful places etc.
