Liberia-Monrovia

Going down memory lane again today and especially in the light of the current prevailing situations. The best we can do is keep our memories and cherish them. Going through my Album.and found these nice scenes of Monrovia I captured sometime ago on my visit to Liberia. It was captured from some of my favourite high spots in the city where you can enjoy a lovely view. Of course like most west African countries its situated on the coast and the coastline lies along beautifully along the city which you get to see as you move around in the city.

  • It’s a country of about 3.5 million people. Very friendly and welcome for tourist and visitors. The official language is English of course though with a different accent as may be expected. Just a little over 1 million population in the city so its abit crowded but enjoyable.

In this picture the central bank of Liberia(the last blue building on the left hand side) seen in the distance on Ashmun street.

It’s a lovely place to be really. Nice hotels and eateries easily located in the city.

Wow! Monrovia is indeed beautiful @SholaIB

I don’t know which place to go first when everything gets back to normal @SholaIB

West African countries could be more convenient actually. But Zambia is not of the hook. I’ll also love to visit Tanzania.

Best regards.

Thanks for sharing part of Liberia which is so dear to me.

Have a great day!

Well @Austinelewex thanks for replying. Liberia is an Ecowas country and its therefore visa free for us. Is Tanzania visa free? I know its not in Ecowas therefore maybe cost and hassles of visa and travel regulations. Whatever travels has to be after the pandemic anyway.

@SholaIB I guess Tanzania and Ethiopia are Visa on Arrival.

So I have also included Ethiopia to my bucket list. I wanted to visit there last year but my friend told me not to come anytime soon until its turmoil is over.

The country is having some issues. :worried:
