Going down memory lane again today and especially in the light of the current prevailing situations. The best we can do is keep our memories and cherish them. Going through my Album.and found these nice scenes of Monrovia I captured sometime ago on my visit to Liberia. It was captured from some of my favourite high spots in the city where you can enjoy a lovely view. Of course like most west African countries its situated on the coast and the coastline lies along beautifully along the city which you get to see as you move around in the city.
It’s a country of about 3.5 million people. Very friendly and welcome for tourist and visitors. The official language is English of course though with a different accent as may be expected. Just a little over 1 million population in the city so its abit crowded but enjoyable.
In this picture the central bank of Liberia(the last blue building on the left hand side) seen in the distance on Ashmun street.
It’s a lovely place to be really. Nice hotels and eateries easily located in the city.
Hey @Austinelewex a special invitation to Liberia after the pandemic of course or should it be Zambia @And12-X2 all will be after the pandemic of course. The the 1st thing for me, will be to get back to base in Nigeria before further travels when the pandemic is over. What do you think? We don’t hear from @Shruti_U she may come along too if she like
Thanks for compliments on my post. Do you enjoy travelling? This is an ideal country to visit in Africa for a holiday and tourism. You will love it after the pandemic of course
Well @Austinelewex thanks for replying. Liberia is an Ecowas country and its therefore visa free for us. Is Tanzania visa free? I know its not in Ecowas therefore maybe cost and hassles of visa and travel regulations. Whatever travels has to be after the pandemic anyway.
@SholaIB I guess Tanzania and Ethiopia are Visa on Arrival.
So I have also included Ethiopia to my bucket list. I wanted to visit there last year but my friend told me not to come anytime soon until its turmoil is over.
Of course @Austinelewex . It will be nice to meet you after all this virtual chat and virtual eating and virtual etc . If I get some days free I’ll plan to come up East and we can revisit all those your nice waterfall and places. Hopefully the Covid-19 will leave is in peace and not in pieces
