LGBT life in Quito. Is it good enough, isn't it?

I was born in Quito in 1988, when to be homosexual was penalized until 1998. During a class of sexual education the Doctor said us, “- It is prohibited to have sex between two men or two women!”. “- Ok, to be homosexual is the worst thing”, I though. A lot of time later the laws started to be more progressives, to be homosexual is permited in Ecuador, you can live with your partner, but you cannot married with him. Nobody can fire you due to your orientation and there are more beautiful laws in papers, but people can’t be themselves not all people. You have to be brave to walk hand in hand with your boyfriend and more to public kisses, however we can do it.

That’s the reason why I love to share my experiencies at LGBT discotecs, bares, saunas and videos because the first place where people looks for contacts with others is the internet and they need the most completed and actualzed information. May be one of the principal dificulties is to ask about those kind of places, so they will can know something about it like how to arrive, how much it cost, when is it open, and much more. Beter of all, it is free to share it to them.

The best of my city is that I have meet people from all aroud the world because in Quito there are many tourist places, we use US dollars, and no many all but some people can speack english like a second language. Obviusly it is not only in Quito but is the city where I live.
