LG Plavarda - Award-winning Author, International Cyclist & above all a Best Friend - TravellerG

Hello dear all,

Many of us are aware of our “International Cyclist” and a very “Influential Writer” with more than 250 publications on LG Connect - our very dear Plavarda. His extremely pleasing writing conquered a large crowd of friends - his very caring, loving and attentive style has gifted him the Guiding Star 21 Badge.

He has proved his talents in photography through the wonderful photos he published in his posts - his compositions are very pleasing to the eyes (also technically perfect) and his capturing ensures vivid pictures. His tiring travels never stopped him from publishing his travel dairies regularly.

However, at least some of us are not very familiar with his prestigious quality as an author of three books published on Amazon; indeed, his second book won the award of the “National Fiction Competition”.

Our dear Plavarda was honoured by being featured on the cover of a ‘Giornale di Vicenza magazine’ (on 23rd Nov) along with a nice article inside. Giornale di Vicenza is one of the most popular Italian newspaper Magazines published in Vicenza (Here), Italy (since 1915).

The third book, titled “I Work at Lima”, released on 23rd Nov 23 is a series of anecdotes about his youthful experience of working in a big company, the ‘Lima Electric Train Factory’

The second book “Diomira” is a true-life story that really happened and talks about a woman who saw only abandonment and slavery. This is the book which won the prestigious National Fiction Competition “Il Paliotto” organized by the Rotary Club of Turin.

The first book “Viaggio di Fiaba” tells of a car and bicycle trip by him and our dear friend @mariacristinafossa (Special regards to dear Cri) in Europe in search of “Fairy Tales” places. You will get a few more details Here and Here.

Dearest friend @TravellerG and all the others who liked and commented, I am moved by this testimony of yours, I never thought I deserved so much, this interest of yours is worth more than the title of Guiding Star of 2021. They are always the people who meetings that make the difference in life, not medals!! I’m absent, it’s true, but very busy looking for new things, new interests. Life must be a continuous search for good, in culture, and in relationships with others. You and Connect are all part of my life and sometimes in life you also have to stop and look inside, do a bit of media fasting, but then you remind me, in such a touching way, that beyond the screen of my house, there are people and for I apologize for my absence, I will try to return to being a faithful friend. Thanks again TravelerG my dear friend, as you have seen I have already started publishing the eleventh stage of my bike tour in Italy, with a video shot largely on the Via Appia, an ancient Roman road from 312 BC. which connected Rome to Brindisi with a length of 585 km all paved as you see in the video and built without Caterpillar or other modern mechanical monsters. Something disturbing happened on the Appian Way: do you remember any films about the slave Spartacus and his revolt against Rome? In 71 B.C. the approximately 6,000 rebel slaves led by the famous Spartacus, captured in battle, were crucified along the road from Rome to Capua, as a warning to the slaves present on Roman territory. It makes me think that the human cruelty of those times is very similar to the barbarity and cruelty of this century, the world has not yet learned to live in peace, when will we understand the right things?

A big embrace to all and in particular to You MY FRIEND TravellerG

Grazie infinite @ChiaraMariaC .
