A couple weeks ago I received a congratulations email saying I reached Level 9. I was well over 50,000 points.
Today I logged on to add some info and it says my points dropped to 47,927 and I have dropped back to Level 8.
My settings are set to manual delete (I understand that can be an issue if auto delete is activated, which mine is not.)
So, what’s the deal? Is this a bug?

Very sorry for your points loss and dropping from LG Level 9 to 8.
Nothing to worry as this has happened to many but in due course these points were reinstated.
Have you checked your Profile status under Number of Contributions? There is a high chance that this drop is due to decrease in points in ‘Answers’ category as I myself have witnessed this but in couple of days later all the decreased points were reinstated. In my case the drop was for 6000 points.
So, suggest to wait, this will be rectified.
