Level 10 Google Guide

Just reached level 10 Google guide a couple months ago! Very excited and always love to contribute data. Wondering if other level 10 guides have received anything from Google? I have read some posts that other guides have received promotions off phones/google tech and other gifts and, while not trying to sound ungrateful, I think the only thing I’ve ever received is a pin and a free movie ticket when I received level 6 haha. I got an email congratulating me which was nice, just not sure if there’s other stuff I could be looking out for? Just was curious- always happy to contribute!

You could consider the free and updated Maps app a great reward.

There is no pattern and no fairness in who gets rewards. It is just a marketing gimmick.

My motivation is the joy of knowing that I’m helping a lot of people and businesses. Also, making new friends here on Connect can be considered a great perk. I find it very rewarding being a Local Guide.

Hang in there, keep up the good work, and maybe one day it’ll be your turn.

And finally, make sure Rewards is selected in your email settings found here. And update the location to show your current location.

Thanks for the replies everyone, glad to see so many local guides! It’s definitely a program that has grown in quite a few years and I really value the quality of information and pictures/videos that people upload to let everyone see what other communities and places are like. Good luck guiding!

Thanks for the reply Morten :). And yep! Again, not trying to sound ungrateful and have always contributed data. I also do road mapper and other Google initiatives so have no problem voluntary time/labor/data, just was curious if there was any strategy or If other guides have received anything that others should be on lookout for. Thanks again for the information!
