Hello Everyone!
Last year, as my gift for Connect Live, I created The Bozeman Coloring Book. After the event, I shared the coloring book with the whole Local Guides community by hosting a coloring book contest.
This year, the amazing Penny Christie, a Local Guide from Australia reached out to me, wanting to help create a new coloring book. We were already working together on the #OneAccessibility team. Creating a coloring book together for Connect Live 2019 made perfect sense - so we decided to collaborate.
We wanted a topic which that spanned both our experiences featuring the entire Local Guides community, so we brainstormed. The result as #LetsGuideWorldwide. This year, the coloring book is 100% created from original photographs taken by Local Guides. All of these photos have been posted to Google Maps, and now they will be coloring pages too.
We reached out to friends new and old from more than 35 countries. We selected our favorite 14, and made them into coloring pages which went into this year’s coloring book.
We also made a Google Maps List called #LetsGuideWorlwide, where we have entered all of the places which were submitted. The descriptions in the list were provided to us by each of the Local Guides.
We will be handing out the #LetsGuideWorldwide coloring book at Connect Live 2019, but we wanted to share the joy with everyone on Connect. To accomplish this, we will be sharing the book with all of you! After Connect Live, we will make all of the pages from the book available for download to the Local Guides Community.
We are asking everyone who colors in one of the pages to post their work online with the hashtag #LetsGuideWorldwide. This way, we will be able to see each other’s work and participate in an amazing worldwide coloring project.
