LetsGuide Podcast: 10 Episodes for you to enjoy

When I started developing the idea that would evolve into the LetsGuide Podcast, one of the first things I did was to compile a list of topics for podcast episodes to make sure I would not run out of topics to cover after just a handful of episodes - as an avid podcast listener I regularly come across podcasts that have a promising title, but upon checking the detais, turn out to just have 3 or 4 episodes (with the most recent one in 2017 or so),

The occasion for writing this post is the fact that this week I have reached an important milestone: the number of episodes of the LetsGuide Podcast now went into double digtis, as episode 10 was published. And the list of possible topics still contains quite a few items, so I am confident I can still go on for a while . Whether I will ever reach 100 episodes is an open question, as the total time to create a 20 minute episode every 2 weeks or so is still quite considerable.

Whereas episode 9 was no doubt the nerdiest (on the topic of local language categories - but then again, I’m aiming for the title “King of Categories”), episode 10 might be the most entertaining so far, as I am taking the listener on a Local Guide trip with the goal to make enough contributions, in the course of a single day, to gain 500 points and thereby become ‘Level 5 in a Day’ (which is the title of this episode). It contains a summary of the types of contributions you can make as Local Guide, but still always respecting the rules and making sure to make genuine and meaningful contributions.

The coming month, the podcast is on a short summer break, but it will return in September with brand new episodes. In the meantime, I hope you can find the time to check out one or a few of the episodes and then leave a rating and/or review in you favorite podcasting app (it’s available everywhere you can find podcasts).

I found the podcast on reaching LG5 level in a principled & legitimate way, to be pretty helpful.

You have mentioned about the popup to answer some quick questions.
However, that may not happen sometimes.
Nevertheless, I had discovered another means to strike that.
When a visited spot is in the timeline, and then tap on that, at the bottom we get a query asking whether we know something about that place. Then the queries popup, looking for an answer.

Incidentally, I kept on postponing to attend the podcast nine on categories. Right now I have listened to that too. I am elated by the mention of my name in the episode. Many thanks for that.

Congrats @JanVanHaver . Those ten episodes must have taken much thought and many hours of preparation. Well done for having a great idea and following it through!

Indeed @JustineE just the recording, editing and publishing a 20 minutes episode typically takes 2,5 to 3 hours (the very first one considerably more, but one tends to learn by doing obviously ). And the preparation usually takes even longer, depending on the subject. The funny thing, though, is that I sometimes think ‘how on earth will I ever find 20 minutes of content on this subject?’ and then end up with 30 minutes of content at the end of the recording session.
