#LetsGuide pet lovers!

When you get an invitation to meet friends at a new restaurant, do you check Google Maps to see if it’s dog-friendly? If so, other pet lovers need a guide like you!

We just launched #LetsGuide to encourage everyone to share the topics, themes, passions that inspire you to guide others. Last week, we put the spotlight on kid-friendly spots with tips on how to take great photos of places that welcome families with children. This week, it’s all about pet-friendly places to help other folks who love to bring their pets along as they explore.

Lots of Local Guides are already guiding pet lovers with #LetsGuide. Here are a few of our favorite reviews and photos from the past week:

Whether your guiding passion is pets, sharing accessibility information, finding the most kid-friendly places, or anything else, share it with the community on social with #LetsGuide or by creating a post here on Connect. We’ll be sharing more of our favorites here and on Twitter, Facebook, and Google+.

@kmajewski : What a great initiative!

I don’t personally have a pet, but last summer, I went on a road trip to the Oregon Coast in the USA and my friends brought along their dog. This was a hot summer day, so of course we wanted to enjoy the outdoors and also ensure the dog was well accommodated. One of our favourite places to dine at in Cannon Beach was the Pelican Brewing Company, they had a great outdoor area that was very pet friendly. Food was delicious and as soon as the server saw the dog, she brought a little bowl of water just for her!

Another pub we found was Radio Room in Portland, they were also very friendly with dogs and had a really cozy patio just to hang out on a summer day!

I know @JenneferB has explored some locations in Vancouver with her dog Tako!

This is great! Thanks for posting, and thank you @Shirley for tagging me!

Yes, finding pet-friendly places can be a bit of a challenge in Vancouver because of strict regulations at restaurants. Sometimes, dogs aren’t even allowed on the outside patio of a restaurant. There are exceptions though and I’ve found some breweries here that have an area where you can let your pooch hang out. Two places that come to mind right away are Luppolo Brewery and Brass Neck Brewery in East Vancouver. Your dog won’t be able to sit with you while you have a cold one, but there is a cozy area for them to lay down with a bed and some drinking water :slight_smile:

There are definitely other places, and I’ll stay on the lookout!

It’s a great and very kind initiative to think about those who cannot express themselves vocally to us, so we need to understand their expressions and need ourselves and take an initiative…

This is one of them, that’s I personally liked it very much…

Thank you @kmajewski for such a wonder initiative… 3 Hurray for you…
