Besides our contributions to Google Maps and Connect, to bring our feeling to the real world, many of us have created or received physical things that are related to Google Maps and the Local Guides program.
On Connect many users share these things on the Achievement Board continuously. But here at Connect’s birthday, it is time to share all in one place!
This helps us to get familiar with Google’s official merchandise those send to users, and also get ideas for creating unofficial things for our next meetup.
So, let’s share! What Postal Card, T-Shirt, Badge, Pin, Bag, Hat, or any other Google Maps-related thing do you have in your home or office? You can also tell the story of that thing and what it reminds you of.
Share them below in the comments and celebrate Connects’ seventh birthday
Congratulations @Amiran for receiving such wonderful compliments. It’s truly an inspiration. Please keep on contributing to Gmaps and LG Connect. I am tagging my friend @TravellerG Hope he will like this post. All the best.
I’m really fortunate to have different gifts from Google & community members. Of course, I have a sizeable collection; however, I’m adding the photo of my first valuable perk - hope you will like it.
You have a great collection of Local Guides goods Indeed having even one of them is the dream of many Local Guides. Especially when we receive such things in meetups, those remind us of our beautiful moments with each other.
And you mentioned an important thing. The best perk of the Local Guides program is immaterial. I also told this in that main Local Guides Connect anniversary post because I really understand this and with the help of Googlers, this thinking brought me calm and also caused me to become friends with many good Local Guides like you.
Muchas Gracias @FaridTDF for tagging me to @Amiran ’s post. There are many wonderful perks and gifts I have received over 8 years I have been a Local Guide.
Every time I have received a gift has been a complete surprise. Many of the items Faird has shown I have received too, including the matching orange Local Guides water bottle. That was purchased by @ErmesT and me at Connect Live 2019 pop-up store in San Jose, California.
What I love the best is the ability to meet virtual and in person Local Guides from around the world, including you @Amiran . This was very important to me during the first couple of years of the Pandemic. It really kept my sanity going.
So even though you see a lot of wonderful and amazing gifts, perks, and honors (chosen to attend all 4 global Connect Live Conferences, being the 1st female Connect Moderator, and selected to be a 2021 Guiding Star - Community Builder), I really cherish the friendships created here on Local Guides Connect as the #1 Gift/Perk Google has given me.
Wow Thanks a lot dear @KarenVChin for putting time and sharing these nice photos.
These are amazing perks, gifts, and really valuable moments with the best LGs.
You experienced all kinds of Local Guides perks and this is nice that you selected friendship as the 1st one.
I am so happy to have this opportunity to be your friend and participate in the great meetups managed by you and @ErmesT . While those were virtual, the friendship you spread is definitely real. I wish I could be in one of your next real meetup photos, too.
