Hi Kulwant, Thanks for your message. Do you know some more guys who are Local Guides for Google? I think, we should be min. 5-6 people. My office is in Sector 8-C, Madhya Marg. We can plan accordingly.

Hello everyone! I came across that there so many local guides in Chandigarh but there is lack of communication among them.
I will suggest you to join the Google Local Guides Community in Chandigarh here:
Then we can simply plan our meetups(like Monthly) easily.

What is the benefit to be a local guide? I am also a local guide but I just provide updates on google map when I have free time.

It’s just a volunteer work bro.
You will not get any monetary help.
All of us contribute voluntarily and to make the local map better so that other can get easy help on maps.

Even I started with the same question when i joined the local guides program. Maps is very deeply integrated into our daily lives now. I am sure you must have searched for some local business or a tourist place on maps to get more information or as a part of planning of your trip. All these information is crowd sourced and people like us and you are adding information and making maps more useful. It is a sort of a give and take program.

hope all of you doing great. I have a query, ‘Are you planning to have a meetup in this month’, If yes then is it possible to plan it on weekend either Saturday or Sunday.

As of now, no plan. But we can make one. 28 July we can decide, we can have time to think what we will be doing and what will be targeted place and required equipments and all managing stuff.
