With much enthusiasm, here we come up with the long awaited avenue planting event in Batticaloa West. Western part of Batticaloa is surrounded by Batticaloa lagoon and has been a severe trauma due to several issues prevailed for more than a decade. Hence, the physical infrastructure are being renovated in this area. Identifying the need for shades and greenery along the roads, our team of volunteers has reached the relevant government authorities requesting support for avenue planting and the department of forest has donated 200 plantings of Mahogany trees. This big avenue planting event will be the upsurge to the beginning of greening the world from the most needed locations. We, Batticaloa local guides have joined hands in planting all these two hundred trees along this path and create a nice green belt. My kind request to all Local guides around is “Please plant as much as you can”. Arise… awake… let’s green the world! Throughout my journey of creating awareness among people about greening the world through maps, some of the authorities has promised to support this venture with one BILLION trees. I know, this is quite a huge amount. I wish I could see a considerable amount of patches and belts around the world before my demise. Come join us for some free rain!

Hi @IlankovanT

Congratulations on a super quest Ilankovan… Planting trees and as environmentally conscious people continuously restoring and maintaining repairs by doing so.

We all know and try to be insistent in all we do in our daily lives to recycle, regenerate, resize and restore with energy and rubbish plus in caring for the environment with projects like yours to “Map Green”, every little action makes aaworld of difference.

It is very impressive that youyare using your strength in being aapart of the Google Maps Local.Guides Connect community to raise awareness and inspire others to do the same.

It is very honourable of all who take part in your countries planting Mahogany trees to make a difference to revive the environmental damage.

In all you all do on big avenue in this terrific planting event that will be the upsurge to the beginning of greening the world from your own area is motivational for all the world to take on similar projects in their own areas and so be a big part in healing the world.

Every community helping in their own areas makes the best in helping each other, no matter where we live. the most needed locations, are close and there are areas in every land that needs to be regenerated with flora and forna, as we all work to do that then piece by piece the healing will start.

By Mapping Green we each have a huge effect, that will affect all we do in preserving nature. It is in our everyday lifestyles that we can consistently be involvedi.

Plus when we are persistantly consiously active in small and large projects and make excellent and always continuous eco-sustainibilable impressionistic lasting results for excellent in building relationships with other like minded people. It only takes a few to be the help for each other and our planet.

Thank you again for all you do.

Thanks for the great words @Justine2807 . I just loved the phrase as you say, “healing the world” instead of “greening the world” which is commonly used. Yeah! Mother earth needs a lot of therapies like these to heal the lesions we human beings have caused. Thanks again for your encouraging words.

Thank you @Jesi
