I’m a traveler myself and to visit the most famous cities in the world is what I like the best.
Some years ago, I used to have all my trips planned, with what to do each day, what are the opening hours of the places I would like to visit, how much the entrance tickets cost, what buses or subways I should take to get to and from some place… It was huge work to be done before traveling!
But then I met Google Maps. Now it is not that hard to plan a trip anymore. People share opening hours, opinions, photos and everything I need to explore a city very well.
As an act of gratitude, I also share my impressions about places to help others that will come after me. Also, I share to give feedback to the businesses owners and give them ways to improve.
This is something special about Google Maps for me: it provides small businesses the ability to be found on the web, that is where most people search for something before getting out home.
Good businesses deserve to be known, to be visited, to earn money, to generate new jobs and thus to improve the local and national economy.
Google Maps isn’t only about maps anymore. It’s about information, photos, ratings. It can be the difference between profit and bankruptcy for a small business owner. And I want to help them to be more competitive and succeed.
