Let’s talk about... Mexico and our ingredients

As you probably know, Mexican cuisine is one of the most popular food in the world and We are really proud of it and we are not burritos, fajitas or nachos, maybe if you have come to Mexico and ate in a luxury resort, they offered those items in the menu, because they are kind of universal and known but Mexican food is more than that.

We have different types of food in the different areas/states/regions of our country, in the north you can have good meat is your are a steak person you will find these region really interesting, in our coast (both Pacific and Gulf) the food that you will find is most of them based in fish and seafood but the have a kind of mix, historical our coasts where point of commerce and they received products from Europe and Asia so we have an interesting mix there, in the center area/region/states, you will have a lot of food made with corn, we love corn, we have different types of corn (if monsanto does not win, we will still have that) and the street food, is one of the most popular and delicious in the country, in the south you can have a very very interesting mix between our indigenous roots and spanish roots.

Just to finish, I am going to share with you some on the products/ingredients that we use, and I am pretty sure that you will have some questions about it, so feel free to contact me and ask me your questions.

Thank you for sharing your post with us. I love Mexican cuisine! It has a great variety of flavors. It would’ve been nice to write a caption under each photo so other Local Guide know what they are looking at. How do you cook the insects in the 9th photo?
