Hi, there! I’m Rachel from Indonesia.
I live in Bekasi, a small city in West Jawa - but you’ll get surprised knowing that it is the 7th most populated suburb IN THE WORLD! Every day, I commute to work in Jakarta by train and online motorcycle ride-hailing. I often contribute as a Local Guide (click and watch my video here) because I spend around 4 hours (in a normal condition, on rainy days it can be worse) from my hometown to the office and other several hours to travel various areas so I have plenty of time to hit the click button to answer some questions regarding the places I have been through (Google did their best effort in notifying me to contribute more and more as a Local Guide!).
Having said that, I am keen on sharing information as many as possible about some places I regularly go to and other places I intentionally visit for special occasions, like a business trip or holiday! I love to promote many untapped interesting places here that have no records in Google Maps yet and to add more important details about the facility, accessibility, ambiance, and products of lots of mainstream areas that have been reviewed by others.
I do believe that taking part in this circle is the same as taking baby steps to raise the awareness of people about my city, my country, its signature places, cozy spots, etc. At the same time, I help giving valuable information for everybody (can be Indonesian from another city/province/island or foreigner) who wants to visit/are in the places I have already visited across this nation.
