Calling Lego Photographers! Let’s get together to take pictures of our favorite minifigures at beautiful locations around Calgary and post them onto Google Maps! The places I am thinking of include: -The public art sculpture near the YMCA at Rocky Ridge -Murals at the Beltline -Wonderland Sculpture I’m open to other suggestions! Location: I’ve set the location for the Wonderland Sculpture for now. We can change it if needed. What to bring: -minifigures + accessories -camera -tripod (optional) Thanks and see you there!

Hi @Oscar_Kwok ,

This sounds like a very interesting and fun meet-up  Thanks for hosting it and I hope you’ll take great photos and meet your fellow Local Guides!

Here you can see some tips how to write a great recap after your meet-up.

@KatyaL Thanks! I’m getting excited! There are actually a lot of Lego enthusiasts who take photos with them and we need more of that representation on Maps!

I wish I could be there; but sadly, I’m busy that Saturday. Good luck with the photo walk! Can’t wait to see the recap of that event.

Hey @PaulPavlinovich : Have you checked out this meet-up?

It’s a shame that you’re not closer!!

@Oscar_Kwok , Paul is quite the Lego photographer too! And if you’re in Vancouver, BC, let me know, I’m out here and this seems fun to do! =D

I have a little swimmer lego (because I swim).

@Shirley I don’t know why I didn’t get a notification from your comment so I just saw this now.

Yea I actually already connected with @PaulPavlinovich through instagram because we noticed each other’s lego photos! haha

I do come to Vancouver every now and then for long weekends so I’ll give you a shout next time I am around =D

Nice connecting with you!

Thanks @Shirley I wish I could come @Oscar_Kwok minime and I will be there in spirit. I look forward to the outcome. I attended a lego walk last year it was awesome fun. Everyone brought mini figures and other toys to make scenes with. We didn’t get far because minifigures can’t cover much distance.

I think a Local Guides Lego Meetup could be great fun @Oscar_Kwok I’ve not ever organised one formally but I’ve nearly always got it with you and so many of the people who come on my Meetups bring theirs too :).

@PaulPavlinovich Yea you should try it out sometime. The one I tried to organize was not as successful but if you did it I’m sure you could get a lot of people excited!

Oh yes, definitely let me know if you head to Vancouver @Oscar_Kwok !!!

Especially if you enjoy food, we can find lots of places to eat and then wander through the city to take some photos too! I’ll bring out my little swimmer!!
