Legitimate reviews/photos not published

@MashaPS ; @DeniGu ; @InaS ; @TraciC - tagging you as an nth attempt for a resolution.

Yes, I have submitted the Google Form with a link to my profile multiple times in the last 6 months, yet these reviews with photos have not been published. I even deleted them and posted again a few times too - no luck.

I believe the businesses and other Maps users would benefit from these posts. Please review and unblock.

I’d be grateful if you could help me understand why these Reviews/Photos are not public yet - so I could fix my posts in the future.

Since June and the introduction of the absolute dogshit AI that’s mass-rejecting reviews for no legitimate reasons it has become abundantly clear that trying to go out of your way and fix your reviews is a futile endeavor. There are so many completely arbitrary rules in the content policy, a review could get flagged for any one of them. In my experience, taking sharp photos of menus, signs, etc. from a level angle and with proper cropping is almost a guarantee for rejection because it thinks you’re submitting a screencap. With popular locations, the fault might only just be that the photo you took is 99.9% similar to an already submitted one. After submitting several appeals I’ve mostly given up on my contributions because as I’ve learned from others, getting your account banned from Google Maps is also a possibility that has happened to several L9 and L10 guides, even though there are only a few '000s of them worldwide.

Hello

I understand your frustration which has lead to disappointment. I believe that we are stuck with a system that cannot 100 percent read into our reviews or pictures as genuine and within policy.
I have begun deleting reviews that are “ blacked “ or “ blocked” or whatever the term is. Luckily I had to find around 15 of them out of around 160 or so.

very discouraging because naturally I visited these places and have my own memories as simple or as described as they were and yet they are not counted or portrayed on the system for others to see.

I personally am loosing confidence in a system I thought would be fun for the average every day user.

I wish all the luck to everyone involved - the management and the volunteers. Lol I’m giving the system a four star review. However it appears to be heading in the wrong direction.
Sincerely

In the same situation as you, my posts were initially published, but just after a few days, they got hidden, and what’s even more unfortunate is that reviews with photos also get hidden along with the photos. I’m eagerly waiting for a solution; is there any working form?
