Learning to fish on the river kent

Teaching my 4 year old son to cast and work a worm through low water on the river kent, Kendal, Cumbria. Amazingly immaculate, clean river. Fishing for trout, seatrout and the king of fish the salmon. Regularly see otters and kingfishers residing on the river. Very accessible river and the town offers free fishing through the town stretch, from busher walk to netherfield Bridge. Stunning surroundings to immerse into.

Nice shot @Kieronbanks ! I’m sure you had a great time!

Did you have to take your own fishing kit or is there somewhere nearby to rent one if you’re just a tourist looking for a local experience?

Is it a very long hike to get to that river?
