My name is Andrey. I am a local guide from Israel. Being a Local Guide, I have been doing many different things. I like all of what I do, but the most interesting thing for me is learning something new. Since I became a Local Guide, I have been learning new things constantly, and this process itself is very interesting and exciting. I would like to explain why.
I never wrote reviews before, so I learned how to write reviews. Afterwards, I started to learn how to write good reviews. Well-written detailed reviews help other users of Maps, whereas reviews including just a few words help reviewers get more points only. I learned how to make my reviews more detailed and helpful, and it was a great experience for me. More people started to read my reviews and I started to get more likes.
Here are a few of my most viewed reviews.
I learned how to make my photos more helpful. I used to share the photos of visited places only, but somehow I discovered that many businesses on Maps don’t have attractive photos or they have no photos at all. So now, wherever I go, I take a picture of every place I can and add them to Maps. It is very exciting to see how the photos I add change the appearance of business pages on Google Maps. As a result, the views of my published photos started to grow rapidly. It gave me more motivation to keep contributing to Google Maps and to learn how to make my contributions better.
Recently, I started to take 360 photos. It is something new to me and I really enjoy learning about this topic. It is a very interesting process. The one of my recent 360 photos on Google Maps you can see here.
I also discovered that a certain kind of information about businesses is often missing on Google Maps. I started to learn about those objects more. I learned how to find missing details in order to add them to the map.
I learned how to create lists on Google Maps. It seems easy to do that but it is not. Not every list has the potential to be popular, so I learn more about this particular topic.

Being a Local Guide, I learn to explore the world. I learn to be an open-minded and easy-going person. I learn to make new friends. I learn about a lot of other different topics, and all that is the most interesting and fascinating thing I have done as a Local Guide, and of course, I keep doing it.
