Learning how to use my 360 Camera and contributing to Google Maps with it.

I bought a used Samsung Gear 360 a few months ago and I’m getting better at using it.

I particularly enjoy the reaction that most shop owners have to it, many are only vaguely aware of 360 and the fact that I can do it for them seems almost magical to them at times.

Google maps clearly prioritizes the 360 media, as it’s often the banner shot and of course, it creates a new 360 tab for the business in GMB.

I enjoy being the guy that is doing something that only a few others are doing, so increasingly I’m using my 360 camera for videos as well which I’m uploading to YouTube (I don’t have enough subscribers to go live with the camera which I wish I could do).

Here is a shot I took at Zen Tatoo that already has over 1000 views

Here is my dentist’s office that I also shot.

Finally our Family Dinner at Panama, a delicious Greek restaurant in Montreal.

I initially embedded the 360’s here and they work in the preview, but you can’t save them which is of course unfortunate.
