Lavender - amazing local encounter in Maui, Hawaii

Last year, my wife and I, have the opportunity to visit the great Island of Maui, in Hawaii. Being a Tourist Island destination, is normal to find a lot of water activities to do in the Big Pacific Ocean.

But, in this occasion, we discover a local business that, in my opinion, will help you to find your inner peace and relaxation. The name of the business is: Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm. located in 1100 Waipoli Road, Kula, Hi, and was our next stop after experience the Haleakala National Park trip.

When driving in the road next to the Farm, and once you park the car, you will smell and feel the relaxation feeling that these Lavender Farm offer to their customer. It is a 13.t acres, and have around 20 different varieties of Lavender plants. It really big area to walk around. To encourage you to walk around the farm, and enjoy the relaxation of the place, they gave you a brochure with a descriptive map, and in that paper, there is space where you can stamp and confirm your hiking on the trail, in what I can call, some kind of break stops. Once you finish your walking trail, that paper help you to get a nice discount on their mini store, and gift shop.

The farm is located at a 4000 feet over the sea level, the temperature on April, month that I visit them, is nice, but you need to remember the hiking is not on flat surface all the way. The farm is on the Haleakala volcano slope.

So, the trick is to smell the flower during your walking. The lavender smell will surround you giving you the serenity and comfort to really enjoy your visit.

I was amaze of what they offer in their store beyond the regular flower. They manufacture lavender oil, to be use inclusive to add in your food; you need to try their chocolate bar with the touch of Lavender oil, and the coffee. They also offer their secret formula of Lavender gourmet seasoning.

Lavender is know to help you reduce stress, high preassure, it’s have been recommended as analgesic, and anti-inflatory.

In order to not making this post sound like an advertising post. I will like to finish telling you that There was a lot of things that I haven’t know about this plant, that now, with this trip experience I learn. Hope you can have the opportunity to travel and visit this local Business at Hawaii.
