Every year there is a Festival in July before collecting this wonderful flower. Brihuega is a small village in the Centre of the country (one hour driving from Madrid)

The field of the lavender looks incredible!
Why there is a special festival for collecting the lavender? Could you share a bit more information about it? We have similar festival but of the rose, because it’s a symbol of Bulgaria. There is also like a competition called: The Queen of the roses, which includes all of the young ladies from the city of the rose - Kazanlak. We make butter of those roses and different products of them. The foreigners, who are coming here, are searching to buy them.
