Laughing Elephant.

Caption Laughing Elephant World Heritage Khajuraho MP India.

Khajuraho is world famous tourist attraction for its erotic craftsmanship and the temples of Nagra Style. These temples were built between 950 and 1050 AD by the Chandela kings.

At one time, these temples had disappeared. They were discovered and renovated with the help of archaeological experts and local people. And it is world heritage Site.

In March 2019, I traveled with my family to this heritage. The wife kept herself away because of what she had heard about some shame and erotic idols. But all these are my soul and I find the art of sculptors very alive in Khajuraho. Artists, not on sandstones, seem to have dug on ivory or wood. In more than 50 thousand erotic idols, this laughing elephant, who is laughing at the love worm of a loving couple, has made it absolutely lively with excellence and cleverly crafted.

These are just melodious as they follow rhythm and they are based on the famous play Candrodaya of Sarma who was a courtesan of Chandela ruler. Also major depiction are about Artha, Kama and Moksha.

These are for art and architecture lovers, history buffs, wanderers, etc.
