At 31, I have been declared a Picky Eater. As I can reflect so vividly, the failed food attempts of my pasts, many traditional items in my household weren’t part of my ever so small cuisine as a child. I can also see that there has always been a theme for the items that I would actually eat!
Hmmmm. Was it sweet? Can it be classified as a baked good? Is it pure sugar encased in more sugar then surrounded by mouthwatering chocolate… then sign me up!!
If sweet tooth was an actual physical trait, It’d be lightyears ahead of my most prominent red headed, ginger feature.
As I grew older and started realize my true love of traveling and seeing new things, my inner love of sweets eventually shined through heavier with every one of my additional travels. As a now married momma of 3, we are always looking for fun little “not-so-popular” things to do. This includes anything from day trips to a nearby lake or waterfall, to a planned camping outing with the extended family. And no matter whether we visit a quaint town with an impressive population of 376, or a gigantic city that puts my tiny town of Palmyra to shame, like New York City, We always find a local bakery or candy shop to add to our adventure. However just a short drive from my longtime home is Rochester, NY, with the third largest population in NY reaching over 208,000 people in 2017. (worldpopultionrewiew.com)
Rochester, NY is a foodies Neverland!! It has everything from a 100 year old candy shop that makes gigantic chocolate bunnies at Easter to the more extreme Cereal Bar that specializes in the best Energy Drink Mocktails one could dream up. I love to share my honest opinion to the places that we travel to and experience. There are so many spectacular spots in such a short distance that my family and I are excited to visit. This is all while trying not to gain 30lbs each and go into a donut induced eating coma in the process.
I hope to share my love of all sweets, and their extremely photogenic mouthwatering selves to everyone. Oh and the adventures that the Varga View will bring along the way! Cannot wait to share my world with you!!
