A great photo of an interesting Buddha statue @Nyi_Zaw_007 . It does look very large indeed.
Yes, there is
a lot of large Buddha statue in the town and some are very historical. Very welcome from Myanmar.Hi @Nyi_Zaw_007 ,
Can you tell us more about this place and how tourists can visit this Buddha statue? Is this at a park somewhere? What else can you see? I would love to hear more about your country Myanmar and where to explore.
Thanks for sharing your post.
The entrance to the reclining Buddha image is located about 100 meters south of the Hindu temple on Yadana Taung on the left-hand side of the Mawlamyine-Mudon road as you head towards Mudon. You’ll see a school on the corner of the road that leads to the Buddha image as well as statues of 100 monks standing in a single file with alms bowl in hand. It’s a convenient stopover if you’re heading to Kyaikkami, Sets beach, the Death Railway museum or the Htaukkyant War Cemetry in Thanbyuzayat.
In Myanmar, there is a lot of tourists destination with different ethnicities’ culture. Inle Lake, The Ancient City of Mrauk U, Ngapali & Ngwe beaches and so on.
