Large network of fraudulent listings in the Chicago area

Hello everyone. I’ve uncovered a large network of fraudulent listings in the Chicago area. I’ve identified over 100 false listings related to attic insulation. Each listing has a review rating of 5 with 8-10 reviews (all within the past 3 weeks), no website, and the addresses are intersections. I’ve posted a review/warning to all of them (you can see my detailed experience by reading my review for Marshall Attic Insulation, Barrington, IL). These fraudulent listings are set up to extort an “estimate fee” from each person they visit (they use a recording of your conversation with them to threaten you to pay). How do I inform Google of this? All I could find was a form to fill out for each listing. Thanks.

Hello @Bmur ,

Thank you for reaching out.

Please, could you share a screenshot with us, as well as a Google Maps link of these listings?

Meanwhile, I am going to move your post to the How-tos section on Connect, the place where Local Guides share questions and answers about Connect and Google Maps.

Hi @Bmur

Great job.

Using the https://support.google.com/business/contact/business_redressal_form allows you to attract a spreadsheet with links to several spam POIs.

Best of luck
