These days I am seeing Red wattled Lapwing birds on our terrace. It is supposed to be a ground bird… usually seen in farm or shallow pond areas.
(got to know this name from wikipedia otherwise I knew this bird by it’s local name in Hindi: Tatiri bird- टिटहरी)
Why they are coming on 5-6 stories of heights? Maybe Noida city has grown and occupied the farm lands and pond. So they are coming to terrace to lay eggs? Or in search of water?? May be both.
