Langbiang Peak - or Langbiang mountain are two mountains including Nui Ong and Nui Ba located 12 km from Dalat city in Lac Duong district. Nui Ba is 2,167 m high compared to sea level, Ong mountain is 2,124 m high above sea level. Also in the tourist area is the 1,929 m high Rada hill, this hill is also a familiar place for tourists.
Looking from the center of Da Lat city, Nui Ba is on the left, Ong mountain is on the right and Rada hill is on the first left. This 3-point mountain image is also a symbol in the front structure of Dalat train station. Langbiang is likened to the “roof” of Dalat, and is an attractive tourist attraction of Dalat city.
According to the legend: In the old days in this mountainous area, there was a son named Lang, a leader of the Lat clan, and a daughter named Biang, Chil’s tribal chief daughter. Because of different tribes, Biang could not marry Lang, so the two took their deaths to keep their love and strict rules. When Lang and Biang died, Biang’s father regretted agreeing the Lat, Chil, and Sré tribes to become a K’Ho people. Since then, the young men and women of tribes easily love each other and marry. The two people gradually became two high mountains lying next to each other and the villagers named this mountain LangBiang.
Currently, going to Langbiang Mountain (Mount Nui Ba) is also easy because people have a service organization that takes you to this mountain by jeep at Langbiang resort. With a group of jeeps transporting passengers to the mountain for a few dozen cars, each can carry 6 people, a one-time ticket for the whole turn up and down. The time to visit the mountain for each ride is 30 minutes so it is very hasty. If you want to have free time, you must have your own private vehicle.
