I had a Fuji - Finepix point and shoot digital camera with me once on my offshore assignment. I have a passion of taking snaps of things or the landscape I come across at different occasions.
On 26th October, 2015 I took a photo which I am sharing tonight for this story. It was a lunar eclipse with visibly red moon. It was something very unique to see nature in its different form. Fortunately I could take a photo that night.
Later on 13th November, 2015 I was near Qatar border in the middle of the sea. I read on social media that “Mercury is going to be very close to the Earth tonight” and "it will happen after several centuries again. I also read that people are gathering at places where they have huge telescopes to look at the planet closely. I only had this small limited features digital camera with me. It has 60 x Optical Zoom. I used it with several zooming ranges to take a picture as clear as possible. You can see that the photos are not very sharp as the ground which I was standing on wasn’t stable, constantly floating in the sea.
I find it pretty interesting to capture the view that your eyes see and your camera can save for you. When you look at the photos in future, the photos literally take you back into that part of your memory which reminds you of the corresponding conversations, locations and events taken place in that particular period of time. Having been able to take photos of some major events in my life had been a pleasure for me and I enjoy it to its ultimate level. I am passionate about photography and do it often as my hobby.
