Land of Bridges Ghizer valley

Ghizer valley is the most beautiful valley of Gilgit Baltistan the main city is Gahkuch which is 95 kilometers from the main city of Gilgit and the second important city of Ghizer valley is Gupis which is almost 130 kilometers far from Gilgit this all valley has beautiful scenes all along the road.

In last Summer I explore this valley with my kids as I posted before many posts you can see links of this tour at the end of this post. The most beautiful part of my tour was in Ghizer valley and the unique thing is all along the road almost 150 km is with mountains and your right side is Gilgit river and the whole population is beyond the river

so you have to cross a lot of wooden bridges to go to small villages and these bridges are the most adventurous and fun-filled activity to cross the river I saw a lot of bridges and my kids always insist me to stop there and they enjoyed a lot to cross them many times,

Some villages are consists of only 4 to 5 houses so there are no proper bridge I saw there an amazing Cable car which is substitute of bridges.

These Jhullas were actually not a bridge it was just like a traditional desi cable car which is consist of a small wooden floor and a rope it called Jhulla Pull so you have to sit on this Jhulla and you have to Pull The rope in this way you can go the other side of the river which is very dangerous and adventurous,

I don’t know is there anybody who dare to go across the river by this Jhulla Bridge is there anybody who has a confidence to go across the river with this jhulla.

1- Babusar Pass

What an amazing post @Muhammad_Usman

To be Frank there are so many crazy and risky bridges in Pakistan. Why are they normal constructed like that?

You write explicitly well and your photos are remarkable.

Thank you so much for tagging me to this post.

Best regards and Have a great weekend!

I’ll like @Izumi and @OlgaKlimchik to read this amazing post and see whether they will like to try the audacious approach of crossing this bridges  :joy:

The post is interesting @Muhammad_Usman .

The landscape is so beautiful, especially stormy river.

Your trip was very exciting, I think.

The cable car across the river is dangerous, may be strong and brave people can cross the river.

How do you get there? by car?

Best wishes,

Inna

Thanks a lot my dear @Austinelewex @ for your appreciation and you like my post I always wait for your lovely comments for my post and they always encouraged me to write more and more. actually these areas are very remote so the construction material is very difficult to reach there so the people prefer to build this bridges with their local resources wood is very commonly available there and very cheap so they prefer to made bridges with wood instead of concrete and bricks.

Wow, :scream: @Austinelewex @Muhammad_Usman I’m afraid I can’t cross the bridge after the 4th photo. :sweat_drops: Riding a manual cable car, I imagine horrifying consequences. And I don’t think I can cross the river.

@Muhammad_Usman Great trip with your children. Impressive photos! I am not the most timid person, but I would think twice or thrice to enter the desi cable car. Though, maybe.
