Lakshmi Narayan temple Kumbhalgarh Fort Rajsthan India
Even though we humans live in different countries on this earth today, our languages, customs, colors, traditions etc. are different, but innate tendencies are almost the same in all. Human migration was always adopted due to which cultural migration was also possible. And through tourism, we get an opportunity to know the common bonds between us.
Gratitude, hospitality, expression of happiness, sorrow etc. are common among us all. To express our faith in God, we worship and thank him through various means. The purpose of construction of temples or places of worship has been to keep everyone connected with faith. Lakshmi Narayan temple which is located close to the Ram Pol in Kumbhalgarh Fort is such an example of spiritual devotion. When we are happy, we express our gratitude to God through social festivals and these are the religious festivals.
In Hinduism, Lakshmi Narayan a supernatural divine couple is worshiped by devotees to get special blessings for happiness and prosperity. Narayana is an incarnation of Vishnu and Lakshmi is his consort.
This temple is a grand temple and now it seems to me that it’s without any deity, as there was no priest. As a visitors we respect the holy places, so we must remove our footwears.
This temple is built on a raised platform and having entrance gate, porch, grand hall, and sanctums. It’s a magnificent temple, whole temple is enclosed by walls. Complete structure is built by stone, having plain plastered stone/bricks walls , beams, decorated ceilings, walls and stone pillars are supporting the roof. Above main sanctum Nagara style four faced spire having an urn or Kalasha at its peak. One large hemispherical dome at hall and three small hemispherical domes at entrance porch and other sub sanctums.
It’s a splendid edifice built during the reign of Rana Kumbha. It’s a part of World Heritage site and major attraction among the tourists, history buffs, devotees, art and architecture lovers.
