Why doesn’t Google provide any support to the people who volunteer hours making Google Maps?

Thank you so much Ermes and I apologise for my complaining, it’s just so frustrating giving hours to Google and they provide nothing to help you.
I’m trying to correct the spelling of some places. On GM they are spelt “fluod” when the correct spelling is “flood”. GM will not allow this even though “fluod” isn’t a word.

@HFM can you post the Google Maps link for the location you’re trying to edit? We can try help to check what’s going on

Thank you very much. There are 3 that all have “Fluod” in the name and it should be “Flood”.

Interesting that all 3 having the same misspel. I’m now wondering if it’s due to local pronounciation?
In any case, I tried submitting the edit. Let’s see what happens.
