I always label my pics on my computer with the date, location and subject matter. When I upload a pic of food to Google Maps as part of a review, the label info always gets lost. So I again add a caption when uploading the pic to Google Maps. What really bugs me is that after labelling the pics twice I often get annoying little Emails from Google Maps asking me to label these same pics again! They say people want to know what they’re looking at. Clearly, Google hasn’t noticed that the programming is broken. By the way, I do not store my pics on Google Photos but on my hard drive and another cloud service. Is there any chance of getting this glitch fixed? Thanks in advance.
Hi @KTM1 ,
This specific option, photo labels to appear on Google Maps is not available, however you are welcome to suggest it as future feature request in the Idea Exchange board here on Connect.
By the way, last year the team rolled out a feature which gave the possibility of Local Guides to add names to nameless dishes. If you are interested to learn more about this please feel free to check this article- New: Add dish names to dining photos.
In the meantime, I’ll relabel your post so that it will appear in the How-tos section. If you have any other questions or issues related to the program, please make sure to post them there as it is the perfect place where people swap advice related to their contributions on Google Maps and Connect.
Thank you for the reply, Klaudiya.
