When you hear the name La Salle, the first thing that comes to your mind might be an educational institution that you heard of. La Salle’s institution is everywhere,in all 4 continents. Lasallian educational institutions are affiliated with the De La Salle Brothers, a Roman Catholic religious teaching order founded by French Priest Saint Jean-Baptiste De La Salle.
La Salle Sentul. One of the 44 Lasallian schools in Malaysia that was established on 5 January 1950. During the era of British colonization in Malaya (Malaysia), Sentul was known for its biggest railway workshop in the entire nation. They brought in workers from China and India to work in this workshop, thus a growth in the children population in the area. Rev Bro. Augustus D’Cruz decided to establish a school for the children in the Sentul area with only 11 classrooms.
I studied here for 11 years. From 2006 to 2016. Our school faced so many challenges throughout all those years. This 4.5 acre school was situated systematically near all train and bus routes. Developers are always having an eye on this school.
Although modern structures are built around this school. The unity of all students even those who studied here years ago know how historical and great this school is and keep contributing for this school to keep running.
