Last year I went to study English for one month in Canada, I met my roommates in the airport, it was really cool because we met in the line waiting for our tickets(we were like 50 students) , and we started to talk, and asked each other about our homestay and…it was the same house! , so we started to talk like best friends immediaty.
The day we arrived to Montreal we met Nico a really cool Colombian guy that was studying french in Montreal, he was staying in the same house, he was so happy of hearing some spanish in a long time.
He offered to give my roomates and I a tour in Downtown , when we were walking we saw a lot of iconic buildings (that I will talk about in other posts) and we arrived to Old Port, and immediatly I saw it, it was enormous and colorful, I felt a really calm environment with the sound of the water , there was a bridge crossing the artificial mini lake and at the end, it was there…La Grande Roue de Montréal, I loved that place so much that I went there several times, and in my last days I filmed the wheel from the same spot and made the video that is in my instagram account (Clic here ? ).
It is the tallest ferris wheels in Canada, you can see a lot of buildings and a lot of points of interest from the top.
There are different packages so price depends on your decision.
Montreal is a city with a lot of different activities places to visit like Mont-Royal, Notre Dame Basilica, Old Port, St. Joseph´s Oratory, Fine Arts Museum, I will write some posts about them.
And definetly I would love to return to Montreal is a beautiful city.
@LaloPadilla Love the gif of the night-day shot of the ferris wheel! Totally awesome!!
Thanks for sharing your post! I’ve never been to Canada except for a very brief day trip when I crossed the border at Niagara Falls just to see the falls from the Canadian side! It sounds really nice to go off to a foreign country and spend a month there immersing yourself in a different culture and environment! Is Montreal very French like? Or am I confusing myself with Quebec?
@LaloPadilla I absolutely love the gif you have made of the ferris wheel! I’ve never been in it, only saw it during my multiple trips in the old port. Hope you enjoyed your time in Montreal!
Quebec(province) is the french side of Canada and Montreal belongs to it, Montreal is the largest city in Quebec, and is more multicultural than Quebec (city)
