Kopi Tubruk, the way I make my coffee.

I am very lucky that I live in the country where I can find any kind of coffee.

Gayo, Sidikalang, Lampung, Bogor, Banaran, Bali, Flores or Papua.

The name came from the coffee plantation.

I always start my homemade coffee making from coffee powder, not from coffee bean and then grind it.

Coffee and water is 1 : 12

My first method :

  • Boil water until get the bubble
  • take out from the stove or fire off the stove
  • Prepare coffee (some times I add sugar) on the mug
  • Wait until the boiling water have smoke came out.
  • Pour the hot water to the coffee in the mug.
  • Stirr it with a tea spoon.
  • The coffee is ready.

The second method is :

  • Boil the water using a pan until get the bubble
  • Make the fire on the stove have a tiny fire.
  • Wait until the bubble is gone and only smoke
  • Pour your coffee to the pan
  • Stirr the coffee inside the pan
  • Let the smoke evaporate from the pan
  • Ensure that no bubble appear, since it means the fire is too hot.
  • Put out from the stove.
  • Wait until the coffee powder submerse in the bottom of the pan
  • Pour the coffee slowly so the coffee powder is still in the bottom of the pan.
  • Some time add a little bit sugar, but more often without sugar.

Thats the way I make my Kopi Tubruk, my homemade coffee.

Hi @BudiFXW

I also love coffee a lot and drink it every morning. Currently, I have a Dolce Gusto machine so that’s how I make mine most of the times. I really like that they have a lot of flavors to choose from and they are not bad at all.
