Kopeshwar Temple Khidrapur, Maharashtra: A must visit place.

Today I visited Kopeshwar Temple Khidrapur with cycle, completed 61 km cycling in 3 hours with so much fun in between.

The Kopeshwar Temple in Khidrapur, Maharashtra is a beautiful and historic temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

The temple is known for its architectural beauty and intricate carvings, which are said to be some of the best examples of the Hemadpanti style of architecture.

The temple was built in the 12th century by the Shilahara dynasty, who ruled over the region during that time.

The temple is constructed of black stone and has a shikhara, or tower, that stands at over 50 feet tall. The shikhara is adorned with intricate carvings and sculptures, including images of Lord Shiva, as well as other Hindu deities.

One of the most striking features of the temple is its large mandapa, or hall. The mandapa is supported by 16 carved pillars, each of which is adorned with intricate sculptures and carvings. The ceiling of the mandapa is also intricately decorated, with beautiful murals depicting scenes from Hindu mythology.

The temple also has a large courtyard, which is surrounded by smaller shrines and temples. These shrines are also adorned with intricate carvings and sculptures, and are dedicated to various Hindu deities.

The Kopeshwar Temple is also known for its beautiful and serene environment. The temple is situated in a peaceful and tranquil location, surrounded by lush green trees and beautiful gardens.

This peaceful environment makes it a perfect place for meditation and spiritual contemplation.

You will not believe but local people says this beautiful temple is constructed in a single day.

Overall, the Kopeshwar Temple in Khidrapur is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in history, architecture, or spirituality. The temple’s beauty and serene atmosphere make it a truly special place to visit.
