Konark Sun temple is at Konark northeast from the Puri on te coastline of Odisha, dedicated to Hindu Sun god Surya , Every first day of the early morning Sun Ray fall on temple.
The sun temple belongs to the Kalingan school of Indian temple architecture… there was a diamond in centre of the Idol which reflected the sun ray, later it was shifted from Konark to Jagannath Temple in Puri.
Konark sun temple listed as one the World Heritage Site by UESCO. Temple run vmby the archeological survey department of India.
But now main sun temple get damaged , Temple is now mostly in ruin and the collection of its sculpture are kept in Sun temple meseum…
