Kontum
is a Catholic church located on Nguyen Hue Street in Kon Tum City, Kon Tum Province, Vietnam, completed in 1918. Kon Tum wooden church is made of linden wood (red cheeses) (ceiling and wall made of straw) designed in Roman architecture, coordinating with the Ba Na stilt house architecture from the lines of motifs to the highlights on the material should be bold cultural and beliefs of the Central Highlands people. The church is a self-contained project including churches, guest houses, exhibitions of ethnic and religious products, communal houses. In addition, there are orphanages, sewing facilities, brocade weaving and carpentry facilities. The church was built by skilled carpenters from Binh Dinh and Quang Ngai. Materials that account for the most quantity are chit wood. The ceilings and walls are built of straw mixed soil in the traditional style of Central Vietnam people. On the straw wall are colorful stained glass paintings of God and Our Lady. The flower garden of the church has a statue of Our Lady with two hands, which is carried in the form of a Happy Princess, made from a pristine wood, carved in the rustic style of the Central Highlands peoples. In addition, the cross and statues decorated outside and inside the church like sheep, holy statues made of the roots of forest trees make the space more colorful Tay Nguyen.My special work is always outside as a news reporter.
