“To find out what one is fitted to do, and to secure an opportunity to do it, is the key to happiness.” - John Dewey
This quote by John Dewey explains just how excited I was when I discovered the Google Maps Local Guide which was an opportunity to share the places I care about to the world.
I have always had a passion in helping people find their right fit - wether it is with their fashion sense, a general healthy lifestyle or simply finding the perfect place to snack. Everyone should have all the information and knowledge they desire at the tap of their keypads.
On Google Maps, I care about sharing about diners, eateries and basic hangout spots around the world. I care about detailed personal information about these places and images to showcase them. I believe that it is this sharing that builds a connection between societies and across continents or help break barriers and eliminate negative notions sorrounding certain places. Culturally it brings the world closer and makes for better human relations because food and hangout joints are vital platforms for fostering postive human relations.
Sharing on Google Maps gives me a tremendous sense of fufillment as it creates an opportunity for me to touch lives without a sense of earning from it but rather encouraging action and also help information seekers identify themselves with the perspective of Nigerian society in particular and the world at large.
