Hi dear friends,
Having good friends like @HiroyukiTakisawa @ & @YasumiKikuchi (& Many others), I thought, let us also join hands with the global LG Community, to initiate a post, where everyone can showcase their experience with Bonsai!
Believe me - The Guinness World Record for the largest Bonsai Garden (2649 Trees) is from Mysuru, India (Dec, 2016) - a great place for tourists, to spend valuable time, along with your families – an excellent venue for photographers.
Bonsai Garden:
Bonsai (Japanese: 盆栽)= ‘Tray Planting’ – Wiki [Here]:
The word Bonsai refers to the plants those are grown using ‘Bonsai’ pruning system, which results in an artful miniature replica of a full-grown tree in nature. This thousand (or more) years old art form using cultivation techniques is from Japan.
Wiki says that similar practices exist in other cultures like Chinese (Penzai) or of Vietnamese (Hòn Non Bộ**), many more…
This Japanese (tradition and principles) technique to produce small trees (in containers) that mimic the shape and scale of full size Trees, is becoming very popular in India too – ‘The Guinness Record’ for the largest collection of Bonsai Plants / Trees is held by a Kishkinda Bonsai Garden, in Mysuru, India.
Kishkinda Moolika Bonsai Garden. (Details are Here)
Under the guidance of Swamiji of Avadhoota Datta Peetham in Mysore, the trees are arranged in the following groups:
The Rashi Vana Group (Zodiac system), The Raga Vana (Indian classical music), Nakshatra Vana (27 stars of traditional Indian astrology), Panchayatana Vana (Mother Goddess) & Saptarishi Vana (Seven Indian sages).
You can spend hours or days to enjoy this, mind blowing garden – I have visited half a dozen times, and every time, I found something new & unique!
- The Swamiji Holding the Guinness award:
- All these are few collections from the Bonsai Garden
Now, I request all our friends of our Global LGC Community, to contribute more details (by Photos or sentences, so that more people can enjoy).
