Kheyali Khela Playground is a bustling hub of activity and community spirit, particularly beloved by children and youth who use the open space to engage in games like football and cricket. It serves as a vital recreational spot in the locality, offering a safe environment for sports and play.
However, this playground truly comes alive during the festive seasons, transforming into a vibrant celebration ground. It is situated at B,O, 88/1, Mallick Para Basti, Garden Reach, Kolkata 700024.
Fairs held here during festivals like Durga Puja, Christmas, and other significant occasions draw crowds from all around. I visit this ground on almost every celebration to see the fair which is called mela, in our language.
You will see vibrant decorations here, various kinds of food stalls, games, rides for kids, various snack items, and much more during the festival mela.
This playground is fully accessible for a wheelchair but there is no car parking place available inside or outside of this playground so it is recommended to avoid any kind of transport. I visited here yesterday during Poush Mela and I had a nice experience here.
