Kheer ( A Traditional Dessert)

Kheer (made of rice, milk and sugar) is an amazing dessert served in sub-continent. It is a tradition to cook “Kheer” and distribute among neighbor’s on cultural/religious events. In local hotels they serve it in small pots (made of clay) and we call it “Jota”. In some of areas they call these pots of Kheer “Toti”.

Hi @RzNain ,

Thanks for sharing with us this wonderful dessert!

Actually I’m preparing Kheer for my kids and they like it a lot :slightly_smiling_face: Please tell us more about other traditional dishes you’re preraring for certain celebrations.

Usually in the Food & Drinks board of the community the Local Guides are sharing good restaurants and places they recommend after visiting them, or any interesting dish they’ve tried lately.

Yeah, the one haven’t visited lahore is not born yet. :stuck_out_tongue:

Any time Eswaade… it will be fun. :slightly_smiling_face:

No, there is no dress code. Lahore is big city, jeans t-shirts works for most of people. :slightly_smiling_face: Kameez Shalwar is the geographical and cultural dress here. But now most of girls adopted west fashions, so jean works everywhere.

Lahore in an historical city with centuries old great mosques, tombs and parks in it. But it is fame for the liveliness of people and food. We 've so many other great historical places around too. Hopefully, You will like.

Thank you @RzNain

Count me in for Parks and sightseeing of these great old Mosques.

Liveliness of the people :thinking: ? It’s going to be a movie! because I am a very lively person too.

Food?

I am not so much of a foodie o… but I sure will love to taste Kheer, it was why I got the invite in the first place. :open_mouth: :clap:t3: :clap:t3: :laughing: :laughing:

@Ewaade_3A :smile: :yum:

Many cultures have a variant of this. My partner is Greek and we often have rizogalo which is somewhat similar to Kheer although I think we have more rice than you do.
