Khalti Lake

In my previous post Road to Heaven I write about the road from Gilgit to Phander valley on this road as I already written that this beautiful road has too much beautiful places we can visit right from the road even we don’t need to to get out of the car , there are two lakes also we can see and enjoy right from the road one is khalti lake I think that it will be better that about Khalti lake I should write separate post.

All Pics taken by my mobile Real me S5

It was fourth day of my tour we were coming back from *Yasin Valley *as I post Here when we were reached at there was almost 9 p.m. only one hotel was opened and it was heavy rain I was with my kids there, all the hotels were closed due to lock down I saw Lakeside hotel it was on the bank of lake

but I couldn’t see anything towards lake and couldn’t guess how the scene is beautiful so we sleep in the room which were not neat and clean there was no hot water even there were no water in the taps so waiter give us water in a pot for toilet so we can use washrooms this hotel was very cheap almost five Dollars per day for double room so when we got up early in the morning we forget every disappointment the scenes were awesome and very beautiful and it was the best place to view the Khalti lake because the unique factor of this lake was there were a lot of trees which were in the waters of the lake it gave a very beautiful view and the Turquoise blue water of the lake was another attraction

actually it is not a lake it is the flow of river which becomes slows down at this place because the river becomes very vast here and it looks like a lake basically it’s Gilgit river.

In winter this lake gets freeze and last year there was on the surface of freezing khalti lake a football tournament held can you believe on the surface of the lake there was a tournament of football held , if you want to see its video you can see here actually this video is not made by me e i post it here only for reference and the video credit goes to Global Tourist

@Muhammad_Usman So bright photos! Nice colours. It’s unusual to see freen leaves and ice at the same time.

Football tournament looks funny and cute, but ice may be dangerous. Hope nobody was injured during those numerous falls.

Thanks a lot my dear for your appreciation now come to your question in Arabic we used for moms sister or My aunty so you went translate it translate it as خالہ lake actually it’s not my aunt lake but its name in local language is خلتی which is same as to my aunt it’s only coincidence even in my language Urdu is same word خالہ used for aunty so when you translate it into Arabic my aunt’s lake which is not actually the story. I hope you understand. @_141

Wow!

It is really amazing post!

The lake is unique.,I have never seen such things before–green trees and frozen lake.!

Your photos are perfect @Muhammad_Usman

You visit really beautiful and romantic place with breathtaking landscape!

It is interesting for me -what is the temperature in winter!? The people is wearing in light clothes, not warm, but the lake is frozen and the ice is strong.

I like video very much, because the man and small boy are dancing very good. I see such unusual football for the first time!) Thank you for sharing this interesting video and photos.

I can stop surprise to miracle of nature!

Our :earth_africa: Earth is full of wonders!

Thank you @Muhammad_Usman

Thanks a lot my dear @helga19 @ for your such loving long detailed comment, in winters their temperature is almost -10 to - 20 in nights and in days 0 to 5 degree centigrade the boys are dancing traditional dance of hunza which is very famous in all area and everyone can’t stop their feet when they listen The beat of drum.
