Old to tell a story.
Inside Manama, we find our next place to visit. We just follow our friendly google map to locate the place, we’re so into tourist mode oh ha ohh ha. The weather is warm and humid but bit windy so we carry on our exploration
We choose this place to have that throw back feeling of how old houses looks like and how the government try to restore it. With all this modern day living and style, we are slowly losing the authenticity and origin of how are life was back in the old days (simple).
The Khalaf House, showcasing simple yet and still fancy lifestyle of locals back then.
Simple - shows how the house was been designed, spacious, well ventilated.
Fancy - you can tell with the number of floors the house have, their furnitures, photos, kitchen tools and the old terrace made of curved wood. This shows that the family are in good status.
The Khalaf family donated the house to be a cultural landmark as it has a remarkable role of pearling and merchants in the History of Bahrain.
